ABOUT

Kyung H. Yoon is CEO and Founder of Talent Age Associates based in Silicon Valley, providing creative talent strategies for Fortune 500, multinational corporations, and mid-cap/venture backed companies in the technology, fashion, consumer, lifestyle and financial industries. Kyung is regularly engaged as a corporate director, advisor, executive search and organizational consultant, bringing creativity, global vision and innovative, value-added solutions to her clients around the world who are facing disruptions from technology innovations and globalization.


She is a multi-cultural and multi-lingual leader who combines a unique blend of business, artistic and cultural expertise, spanning the Americas, Europe and Asia. Kyung has developed relationships with the most creative and innovative players in Silicon Valley and with influential business, artistic and cultural leaders from a wide range of communities around the world.


HISTORY

Before starting Talent Age Associates, Kyung spent 14 years with the global executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles. Rising to become vice chairman, she led Heidrick & Struggles’ expansion in Asia, and managed the Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, and Seoul offices.

Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, Kyung was president of Benten Investments, Inc., president of Pacific Union Asset Management, and vice president of Dillingham Development Co. She earned a B.A. in economics and French from Goucher College in Baltimore, and an M.B.A. in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago. She is actively committed to the creative arts, as a practicing artist and dancer, engaged with the performing and fine arts communities around the world.

Kyung is also co-founder and partner of Executive Board Exchange (EBX), the premier community for corporate director and board engagement. Kyung has unparalleled access to top-level executives and corporate directors due to her extensive board experience.

WAYNE B.

Wayne is responsible for the Talent Age interim financial management practice area. Prior to joining Talent Age, Wayne was an independent financial consultant working with early-stage, venture-backed companies in a wide variety of industries including enterprise application software, network storage devises, optical components, software and hardware networking solutions. As interim Chief Financial Officer, Wayne established the processes and infrastructure for accounting and financial control, financial reporting, budgeting, and longer term financial planning. In addition, he assisted with business plan preparation and fund raising.


Prior to 2000, Wayne was Chief Financial Officer for public and private companies including Zip2 Corp. (online, localized portal-building technology, sold to Altavista, Compaq), MoSys, Inc. (semiconductor), Siebel Systems, Inc. (enterprise software, sold to Oracle), Anthem Electronics, Inc. (electronic component distribution, sold to Arrow Electronics), and W.G. Holt, Inc.(semiconductor). He began his career in the oil and gas industry with Chevron.

Wayne earned a B.A. degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an M.B.A. degree in finance from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Rebecca brings three decades of proven experience in global executive management, leadership consulting and Fortune 200 executive positions in human resource management and professional development. She helps technology startups and multinational firms increase their business success through CEO and Executive coaching, and leadership team assessment and development.

Rebecca is on the Board of Trustees of the San Francisco Art Institute as she is also a visual artist in contemporary paintings and education. The creativity, strategic and abstract thinking required in coaching executives and solving organizational challenges are relevant in the realm of art making. Rebecca has achieved success in juried shows and exhibited her works in the San Francisco Bay Area and Paris, France since 2012.

Rebecca’s consultancy roles also include: Principal at Ridgway Institute, where she helps develop potentials of leaders into performance. The President of CXS focusing on Human Resource Management. Her corporate background spans: global Human Resource Vice President of SYNNEX where she helped her company achieved an IPO at $8 billion in 2004. Sr. Director positions at Northwest/Delta Airlines, Pillsbury, and Amdahl/Fujitsu Corporations. In the past decade, she has served on the Board of Directors of Asia America MultiTechnology Association and championed innovation, thought leadership, professional networks and mentoring, and building business connections between North America and chapters formed throughout countries in Asia.

Besides art education from SFAI, Rebecca has a BA in English from Tamkang University and a MA in Counseling from the University of New Mexico. She lives in the SF Bay area and part time in Paris, France.

Marion Askins is an Executive Recruiter and Administrator for Talent Age Associates. Marion is responsible for the client and candidate management recruitment process as well as research, analysis and identifying and evaluating executive and director level global talent. She also provides comprehensive executive administrative support. Marion has experience in many industries including financial services, technology, luxury retail, clean-tech, corporate venture and consumer services.


Before joining Talent Age Associates, Marion spent ten years in the financial services industry working for Tatum LLC, a professional services organization providing project based, interim and permanent solutions. Marion was the area administrator of the Northern California office.

Prior to Tatum LLC, Marion was an executive coordinator with Odwalla and a Customer Service manager for Briggs & Riley Travelware. Marion started her career in the retail industry in managerial positions with Ross Stores, Lanz of California and Mervyn’s.

Marion earned an AA degree in Business with an emphasis in Fashion Merchandising from Skyline College.
